I have been involved in photography from a very young age. I can still remember helping my dad flip prints over in the trays of fixer, standing on a chair so I could reach the workbench in our basement darkroom. Anyone who has ever printed photos in a traditional wet darkroom will never forget that smell.
But now, it's all digital. My darkroom is a computer. The red glow of the safelight is gone. Do I miss it? Sure. But, given the control I have that I could only dream of before, It's not a bad trade.
